In June of 2024, I quit my corporate job after a decade in the IT field to pursue a career in residential and commercial painting. From computer science major to desktop support tech intern to software engineer to cloud engineer, I had made my way through several IT related jobs to discover none of them were for me. I was ready to try something completely different.

That’s when I got the opportunity to work for a friend’s painting business. For several months I used my vacation time to gain painting experience until I finally quit in June 2024 and began painting full time. After a year and half of full time painting, I established my own painting company in September 2025.
